Group Lotus has suspended their chief executive, Dany Bahar.
Bahar has come under criticism for trying to turn Lotus into a 'British Ferrari' and for expanding the company into too many series.
A Group Lotus statement read, "As a result of a number of media inquiries, Group Lotus plc can today confirm that, following an operational review, chief executive Dany Bahar has been temporarily suspended from his role to facilitate an investigation into a complaint about his conduct made by Lotus’ penultimate parent company, DRB-HICOM Berhad."
Lotus has been criticised following its poor performances in IndyCar and is left with just two cars in this Sunday's Indy500; Simona de Silvestro and Jean Alesi will start from 32nd and 33rd.
