Vanessa Low wins the inaugural Schumacher award

The Rio Paralympics Gold medalist Vanessa Low is the winner of the inaugural Keep Fighting Award, an initiative inspired by Michael Schumacher. The award will be presented by FIA President Jean Todt and reigning Formula 1 World Champion Nico Rosberg on January 30, at Europe's largest sports business congress, SPOBIS, in Düsseldorf. On Friday afternoon the Formula 1 world was stunned by the news that newly crowned World Champion Nico Rosberg announced he is to retire with immediate effect. This news came as a shock; however, after an afternoon digesting it, I understand his decision. Firstly, he is the World Champion, and nobody can say he doesn’t deserve it. Sebastian Vettel has been handed a three-place grid penalty for next weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix for the first-corner collision with Nico Rosberg in Malaysia.
