As the Japanese Grand Prix looms, Haas' drivers have their eyes pointedly set on Renault and, more specifically, its fourth-place standing in the constructors’ ranks. Renault has it and Haas F1 Team wants it. It’s been a relentless battle, which makes Suzuka an appropriate venue for another round of jousting as the track serves up a relentless flow of corners that drivers find both challenging and rewarding. Q: Haas F1 Team confirmed its driver lineup before the Russian Grand Prix, with you and Magnussen returning […]

Haas F1 Team earned its second double-points result of the season in the Hungarian Grand Prix Sunday with drivers Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean finishing seventh and 10th, respectively, in the 12th round of the 2018 FIA Formula One World Championship. Both Haas drivers employed a one-stop strategy in the 70-lap race around Hungaroring. Grosjean, who started 10th, was the first to pit, bringing his Haas VF-18 in for service on lap 29, swapping his ultrasoft tires for softs. Magnussen, who started just ahead of […]

Grosjean set the 11th-fastest time in Q1 with a lap of 1:12.930 to comfortably make the top-15 cutoff and advance to Q2. Magnussen was 19th quickest with a lap of 1:13.393. Romain Grosjean Q&A

The 2017 Monaco Grand Prix proved to be a milestone event for Haas F1 Team as it marked the team’s first double-points finish, and showed its growth since the debut more than a year earlier in the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. And it hasn’t stopped growing. Despite missed opportunities so far this season, Haas F1 Team is sixth in the constructors’ standings with 19 points, 21 points behind fifth-place McLaren and one point ahead of seventh-place Force India. Romain Grosjean has six Monaco Grand Prix starts […]

Grosjean:

Romain Grosjean will start the British Grand Prix from 10th but claims that he had qualified at least one position higher if Lewis Hamilton wouldn't have blocked him.  Grosjean moved into Q3 for the second straight race and the fifth time this season. His fastest time was a 1:29.549, which placed him 10th. Haas F1 Team says that an attempt to a better time ended when the Frenchman was held up by eventual pole winner Lewis Hamilton. Grosjean lost three-tenths of a second to the Mercedes driver and the […]

Grosjean delighted with first point finish of 2017

For the second straight race, Haas F1 Team scored a point-paying result as Romain Grosjean delivered an eighth-place finish at the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Frenchman started ninth in the 57-lap race around the bahrain International Circuit and held his position amid the chaotic start, a lap-16 restart and two pit stops. After his final stop at the end of lap 32, where Grosjean swapped his Pirelli P Zero Red supersoft tires for a new set of Yellow softs, he used the fresh rubber to overtake the Toro […]

Haas disappointed with double DNF

Haas F1 Team entered the first round of the 2017 FIA Formula One World Championship with plenty of optimism. Unfortunately, the team left the season-opening Australian Grand Prix disappointed after suffering a double DNF (Did Not Finish) with its both drivers. The optimism came in the form of Grosjean’s sixth-place qualifying effort on Saturday. It was the best qualifying performance by a Haas F1 Team driver in all 22 of the team’s qualifying attempts, dating back to its debut in last year’s Australian Grand Prix. […]

Haas hopes for a better season

Haas F1 Team returns to Melbourne for their second Australian Grand Prix, to begin its sophomore season with a new set of circumstances. After being the new kid on the block in 2016, the new rules bring at least shared newness among all teams in 2017. The first American Formula One team in 30 years made quite the impression in their debut year, with driver Romain Grosjean finishing sixth in the season-opening race. It was the best debut for any Formula One team since […]

Poor debut for Haas on home soil

Haas did not enjoy a positive debut on home soil after experiencing a series of issues on Friday with the main one being the rear brake drum’s winglets falling off the car. The team says the loads are very high in Austin and this might have caused the problems, but hopes to fix it before heading into the last practice session. Romain Grosjean’s best time in FP1 was a lap of 1:40.826 which put him 14th overall, while Esteban Gutiérrez slotted just behind his team mate. […]

Haas frustrated over pointless race

Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutiérrez did not bring any point to their team after finished 11th and 20th, respectively in the Japanese GP at Suzuka. Haas drivers had to start the race on the same set of soft tires they used in Q3 and bet on a two-stop strategy to score good results. Grosjean started the race from seventh and Gutiérrez rolled off in 10th, with the first being pushed wide at the start by Nico Hulkenberg, which dropped him to ninth. Gutiérrez held his […]
