Williams duo Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa were encouraged by the mileage they were able to rack up during wet/dry conditions at the Austrian Grand Prix on Friday. Massa maintained Williams' strong performance at the circuit by placing third in 2015 and Bottas, who collected Williams' only podium of 2016 in Canada, is eyeing a repeat. "It’s always really tricky but I think […]

Massa bewildered by struggle with tyres

Felipe Massa labelled a "very difficult" day as he struggled to get the tyres into the correct operating window during practice for the European Grand Prix. Massa pinned the deficit on getting Pirelli's tyres to work correctly, an issue which he says is new for him this season. "It was a very difficult day for me," he conceded. "I […]

Massa forced out with overheating power unit

Williams says it was left with a "bitter aftertaste" from celebrating its first 2016 podium courtesy of Valtteri Bottas as Felipe Massa was forced out due to an overheating power unit. Massa, whose weekend was compromised by a DRS-related crash during the first practice session, started from eighth place on the grid and was making steady progress when Williams retired the car.
