Sergey Sirotkin will make his Formula 1 practice debut when he gets behind the wheel of the Sauber C33 at next month's Russian Grand Prix.
Sirotkin demonstrated a Sauber C31 at the venue last year before getting a full day of testing in the C33 in Bahrain in April.
Sirotkin had been set to race for Sauber this season but the Swiss team opted to retain Esteban Gutierrez.
Sauber has not yet confirmed which driver Sirotkin will replace for the 90 minute session at Sochi.
Sirotkin is currently in fifth place in this season's Formula Renault 3.5 Series, with one victory which he scored at home in Russia.
