Raikkonen open-minded after practice

Kimi Raikkonen admitted that his Friday wasn't ideal, but remains confident of a good weekend.

The Finn, 3rd in the championship, told reporters prior to the weekend that he isn't expecting any major advances from Lotus until the Korean Grand Prix next weekend.

"We didn’t get much running because of the issue with the KERS, but at least it happened today and we got it fixed", he said.

"It wasn’t ideal for helping us find the best setup but there’s nothing you can do about these things"

Raikkonen remains upbeat that he still has a final, sixty minute practice session before qualifying.

"Suzuka is not the easiest place to get the car set up, but we still have tomorrow’s practice before qualifying. I think we have the potential to be nearer the front than we have done in the last couple of races"

A further blow to Raikkonen was that Lotus's long awaited 'Device' will not be used for the remainder of the weekend, although a new floor, front wing and rear wing will be kept on the E20.
