The Indian Grand Prix is unlikely to be included on next year's Formula 1 calendar, according to Bernie Ecclestone.
The Buddh International Circuit joined the sport in 2011 but tax issues have plagued the event, with teams unhappy at not being granted an exemption due to the government not viewing Formula 1 as a sport.
Organisers of the Russian Grand Prix also revealed last week that they have been given a provisional 2014 date of late October, traditionally used by the Indian Grand Prix.
"Is India going to happen next year? Probably not," Ecclestone told Reuters.
"[The situation is] very political."
Along with Russia, the Austrian Grand Prix will also feature on the calendar for the first time since 2003.
This year's Indian Grand Prix will be held on October 27th.
Sebastian Vettel won the race in 2011 and 2012.
