Fernando Alonso set the fastest time in final practice ahead of tomorrow's British Grand Prix. The Spaniard's time of 1:32.167 was sufficient enough to better Jenson Button by a tenth and a half, as the rain stayed away.
The session started on a drying track, with a couple of patches of standing water catching drivers out, most notably on the entry to the Hangar Straight.
Alonso was another caught out, as he took too much kerb on the exit of Club and half spun onto the pit straight shortly after setting the fastest lap time.
It was a frustrating session for Charles Pic. The Marussia driver twice stopped on track with technical issues.
Rain is forecast for qualifying and darker clouds are appearing.
