Haas driver Esteban Gutierrez admits he was frustrated by the disrupted nature of his Friday practice sessions at the Austrian Grand Prix, amid technical issues and wet weather.
Gutierrez completed only 20 laps during the opening 90 minute session as his Haas VF-16 suffered an electrical problem, which left him in the garage for the bulk of the action.
Wet weather during the second session also affected Haas' plans and Gutierrez ended the day in 18th position.
"It was a very tricky day for us," he said.
"It was not easy to have consistency, especially with the first practice.
"I managed to do some laps, but then we had a problem, which interrupted the whole session.
"It was the same in the second practice. We had only done a few laps and it started to rain, then at the end of the session I got held up by another issue.
"So, overall it was not a great day today, but we will try to do our best to recover for tomorrow."
