Gutiérrez struggled in his home race

Esteban Gutiérrez finished 19th in the Mexican Grand Prix on Sunday after surviving getting sandwiched between Marcus Ericsson’s Sauber and Pascal Wehrlein’s Manor through turn one at the start of the race. Despite contact that sent Wehrlein spinning off track and into Ericsson and then into the barriers, Gutiérrez emerged unscathed in 14th. Poor debut for Haas on home soil

Haas did not enjoy a positive debut on home soil after experiencing a series of issues on Friday with the main one being the rear brake drum’s winglets falling off the car. The team says the loads are very high in Austin and this might have caused the problems, but hopes to fix it before heading into the last practice session. Haas frustrated over pointless race

Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutiérrez did not bring any point to their team after finished 11th and 20th, respectively in the Japanese GP at Suzuka. Esteban Gutierrez says Lewis Hamilton showed a lack of respect after gesturing at the Mexican while he was lapped at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Disrupted practice running frustrates Gutierrez

Haas driver Esteban Gutierrez admits he was frustrated by the disrupted nature of his Friday practice sessions at the Austrian Grand Prix, amid technical issues and wet weather. Gutierrez completed only 20 laps during the opening 90 minute session as his Haas VF-16 suffered an electrical problem, which left him in the garage for the bulk of the action. Romain Grosjean insists Haas was close to scoring points at the Canadian Grand Prix, despite a low-key showing by the nascent squad. Grosjean, Gutierrez to split test running

Haas has confirmed that it will be present during next week's post-race test at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, with Romain Grosjean and Esteban Gutierrez splitting driving duties. Formula 1 will reconvene at the Spanish venue for two days of testing next Tuesday and Wednesday, with every team permitted to field one car. Trio left to rue Turn 2 collision

Esteban Gutierrez, Nico Hulkenberg and Rio Haryanto were left to lament a collision on the first lap which left the latter pair eliminated from the Russian Grand Prix. Gutierrez hit the back of Hulkenberg under braking at Turn 2, resulting in the Force India driver spinning into the path of the helpless Rio Haryanto.
