Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli has confirmed that it will have the three hardest compounds in its range available for drivers at the Spanish Grand Prix.
The Soft, Medium and Hard compounds will be used when the sport returns to Europe at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in May.
Under revised 2016 regulations, drivers have been given compound choices for 10 of the 13 sets of tyres which will be allocated to them.
Out of the remaining three, Pirelli has allocated one set of Medium and one set of Hard tyres, of which one must be used during the race.
A set of the softest compounds, in this instance the Soft tyres, are available for use only in the final knockout segment of qualifying and must be handed back to Pirelli afterwards.
It will mark the first time that the Hard tyres, designated by an orange banding on the sidewall, will be used in 2016.
