Lewis Hamilton expressed his emotions as his victory drought came to an end at the Monaco Grand Prix.
Hamilton prevailed over Daniel Ricciardo in a wet/dry race in Monaco, securing his first win in the Principality since 2008, slashing Nico Rosberg's title advantage to 24 points.
"Thank God that today went the way that I hoped," he said.
"A big thank you to my team for providing me with a great car to see it through to the end.
"I’m kind of lost for words. I prayed for a day like this and it came through. I’m truly blessed."
Hamilton's sole stop came on lap 31 of 78 when he switched from Wet tyres to Ultra Softs, which he preserved until the end of the race.
"I’m telling you that was the longest run," he said.
"Particularly after I stopped for those tyres [Ultra Softs]. It was crazy how long that was.
"I didn't know how long they were going to go. On the last lap they were about to drop off."
