Romain Grosjean says he is likely to remain with Lotus into 2015 after revealing that he is 'very close' to announcing a deal.
Grosjean has collected nine podiums for the squad since he joined the team at the start of 2012 and is set to remain with the outfit next year, alongside the already-confirmed Pastor Maldonado.
"We’re very close to having something to announce but there’s no pressure on when we say something," he said.
"Romain is in pole position for that place and honestly it’s a case of us finalising a few details," confirmed deputy team principal Federico Gastaldi.
"We expect to have an announcement very shortly. Like the technical package confirmation there has been a lot going on in the offices at Enstone, as well as the pits and paddock. It is all looking very good and exciting for the team going forwards."
Lotus will also test an updated nose design at next weekend's United States Grand Prix as they prepare to move away from the 'twin tusk' design for 2015.
"The E22's nose is pretty distinct so it will be unusual seeing it with something different on the front," said Grosjean. "This is part of the team’s evaluations for 2015, and the nose is designed to gather information for next year."
