Lewis Hamilton hailed Mercedes' 2015 form after the squad secured another 1-2 finish at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Hamilton had to settle for second behind Nico Rosberg but the result ensured Mercedes set a record tally of 703 points in the final standings.
"Firstly it’s been an amazing year," he said. "I’m happy as ever for sure and now we can enjoy it, have to take my hat off to this team, pit stop today, all through the year.
"They’ve surpassed their expectations and have shown that Mercedes-Benz is the best team in the world and I’m proud to be a part of it."
Hamilton extended his second stint during the race as he considered a one-stop strategy and conceded that his approach had not worked out.
"I think in hindsight once Nico had pitted I would have backed off a bit and made those tyres go a lot longer, the tyres were still fine at the end so I potentially thought I could have taken them to the end but as that didn’t work out.
"Going too long was probably not the right thing to do but we gave it a try and I did the best job I could with it."
