GP2, GP3 confirm 2014 calendar

GP2 has announced that there will be 11 rounds in next year's championship. The return of the Austrian Grand Prix for the first time since 2003 means that GP2 will race at the Red Bull Ring for the first time. The championship will also race at the inaugural Russian Grand Prix in Sochi. The addition of Austria and Russia means that rounds in Malaysia and Singapore have been dropped. Maldonado joins Grosjean at Lotus

Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado has been named as Lotus' driver for the 2014 season alongside France's Romain Grosjean, the team officially confirmed on Friday.
