Hamilton upbeat over recovery after issues

Lewis Hamilton was pleased with his recovery after issues disrupted his practice sessions for this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix. Hamilton stopped on track during his out lap in the first session due to a failure of the inlet system on his power unit and when he returned to action in the second session he had to return to the garage briefly due to a loss of telemetry. Raffaele Marciello declared himself pleased despite labelling his first practice outing with Sauber at the Malaysian Grand Prix as 'challenging'. Williams handed suspended fine for rule breach

Williams has been handed a suspended fine after a tyre breach during the first practice session for this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix. Every driver is given a set of Pirelli's hard tyres which must be used only during the first 30 minutes of the opening session, but Felipe Massa used those tyres outside of the designated time. Alonso 'ready' for Formula 1 return

Fernando Alonso says he is ready to make his return to Formula 1 this weekend in Malaysia following his testing crash at Barcelona last month. Sepang is considering its future on the Formula 1 calendar after organisers were given the go-ahead to negotiate a new contract. Magnussen frustrated after contact with Raikkonen

Kevin Magnussen says he is frustrated with himself after colliding with Kimi Raikkonen during the Malaysian Grand Prix.
