Manor Marussia pair get new gearboxes

Manor Marussia pair Will Stevens and Alexander Rossi are set for five place grid penalties after taking a new gearbox at the Singapore Grand Prix. Both drivers crashed during Friday's practice sessions and the squad has elected to fit a new gearbox to each of the MR03B machines. The pair will sustain a nominal five place grid penalty, though with the duo likely to qualify on the back row of the grid it is unlikely to affect the final starting grid.

Manor Marussia driver Roberto Merhi has opted to call time on his commitments in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series this year. Merhi battled Carlos Sainz Jr. for the title in 2014 and ultimately placed third in the championship, alongside his practice outings for Caterham. Leimer to make Manor debut in practice

Manor Marussia reserve driver Fabio Leimer will make his debut for the squad during the first practice session at this weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix. Leimer, the 2013 GP2 champion, joined the team as its official reserve driver prior to the Canadian Grand Prix last month. Merhi excluded from junior series event

Manor Marussia driver Roberto Merhi has been excluded from the results of this weekend's Formula Renault 3.5 Series round in Austria after triggering a huge crash at the finish.
