Manor appoints ex-Ferrari designer Tombazis

Manor Marussia has appointed former Ferrari designer Nikolas Tombazis as its new Chief Aerodynamicist. Tombazis has worked for Benetton, McLaren and Ferrari across a two-decade spell in Formula 1, most recently as Ferrari's Chief Designer. Tombazis departed Ferrari following its troubled 2014 campaign but has now secured a switch to Manor for the upcoming campaign. Rossi hopeful over 2016 F1 seat

Alexander Rossi says he is hopeful of remaining in Formula 1 next year following his five-race stint with Manor Marussia towards the end of 2015. King, Haryanto get Manor test runs

GP2 racers Jordan King and Rio Haryanto will drive for Manor during next week's post-race tyre test at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. King, who acts as Manor's development driver, will get behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car for the first time while Haryanto will have another outing with the team, having sampled its machinery in 2010 and 2012. Manor Marussia has confirmed that former McLaren man Dave Ryan has been appointed to the newly-created position of Racing Director. Ryan spent 34 years with McLaren before his departure in 2009, after which he formed his own sportscar team to compete in the Blancpain Endurance Series. Manor Marussia driver Will Stevens expressed disappointment after a strategy call left him trailing team-mate Alexander Rossi at the Mexican Grand Prix. Manor Marussia to use Mercedes power units

Mercedes has confirmed that it will supply Manor Marussia with current-year power units from the start of the 2016 campaign. Manor Marussia has used Ferrari's 2014 power unit this year but will switch to Mercedes for next season, joining Williams and Force India in being supplied by the Brixworth-based operation.
