Lorenzo tests GP2 car

He may be a champion on two wheels, but Jorge Lorenzo has followed in the footsteps of fellow MotoGP champions Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner by testing a four-wheeled machine. Lorenzo, 24, tested a Barwa Addax GP2 car at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia. FR3.5 releases entry list

Felipe Nasr joins GP2

Highly rated youngster Felipe Nasr will race in GP2 this season after joining DAMS. The 19 year old Brazilian won the Formula BMW Europe Championship in his first season in 2009 with 7 victories and 14 podium finishes. GP2 withdraws from Bahrain

Following Bahrain Grand Prix organisers’ statement yesterday that they will not host the opening round of the 2011 Formula 1 season, the GP2 Series organisers announce that Bahrain withdraws from the 2011 GP2 Asia Series calendar. The Sakhir track was to host rounds 2 and 3 of the fourth Asia season. The second round was cancelled last week due to force majeur.
