Marussia unveils MR-03 at Jerez

Marussia has revealed their challenger ahead of the 2014 season. The MR-03 will be raced by Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton, who both begin their second season in the sport with Marussia. Marussia has switched to Ferrari power for 2014, having used Cosworth engines since their debut in the sport in 2010. The team is still seeking their first point in the sport as they enter their fifth year of competition. Gutierrez enjoying turbo feel

Sauber driver Esteban Gutierrez says he is enjoying the feel of the new power units after he completed his running in the first test at Jerez. Renault issue restricts Jerez running

Renault's head of track operations Remi Taffin has admitted that the French engine supplier is facing problems, but is hopeful that the situation will improve for the final two days of the Jerez test. Renault powered cars managed just 19 laps on Wednesday, with Red Bull, Toro Rosso and Caterham all restricted by a suspected battery problem. Button encouraged by promising start

Jenson Button says that there was nothing unsettling about the performance of the McLaren MP4-29 on its first day of running at Jerez. Button missed the opening day of testing on Tuesday due to an issue with his car but was able to complete 43 laps on Wednesday, setting the fastest time of the test. Button tops day two as Mercedes rack up miles

Jenson Button set the fastest time on the second day of running at Jerez. Button's time of 1.24.165s was comfortably faster than Kimi Raikkonen's time on Tuesday, although lap times remain unrepresentative. The day was originally set aside for wet weather running as overnight rain left the circuit moist, with tractors brought in to add more water to the track. Kimi Raikkonen topped the first day of winter testing at a subdued Jerez. As Formula 1 entered into a new era, several teams encountered issues with their new cars. Hamilton shunts following front wing failure

Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes suffered an early setback after the front wing on the Brit's new W05 failed on the first day of testing. Hamilton had just set the fastest lap of the day when his front wing failed approaching the first corner. The Brit was unable to prevent his car from crashing into the barriers on the outside of the turn, leading to extensive damage at the front of the car. Hamilton was not injured in the accident.
