German Grand Prix set for Hockenheim

This year's German Grand Prix is set to be staged at Hockenheim, according to Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone. Hockenheim and Nürburgring have shared hosting duties of the race since 2007 and the 2015 edition was provisionally set to be held at the Nürburgring . With organisers having yet to sign a contract, the venue for the 2015 race has remained uncertain on the most recent Formula 1 calendar and Ecclestone said on Thursday that Hockenheim will host this year's event. Raikkonen says damage hurt race

Kimi Raikkonen believes that damage to his Ferrari F14T compromised his chance of points at the German Grand Prix. Raikkonen finished in 11th but reckons more might have been possible had he not been involved in a couple of collisions with rivals. Felipe Massa has blamed Kevin Magnussen after the pair collided on the opening lap of the German Grand Prix. Massa and Magnussen were running in third and fourth as they approached the first corner, with Massa attempting to go around the outside of his Danish rival. Lewis Hamilton said he was pleased with his drive at the German Grand Prix after he raced from 20th place into a podium position. Hamilton was forced to start from 20th after his Mercedes team had to change his gearbox as a result of his brake failure induced accident during qualifying.
