Bosses back F1 to survive Eurozone crisis

Team bosses are sure formula one will weather the European storm. Struggling Eurozone members headed by Greece have triggered a worsening financial crisis in the sport's key market. But Sir Frank Williams, who is understood to be negotiating with Middle Eastern sponsors, remains confident that formula one will still be able to rely on European money. "I believe it (sponsorship) will still come from Europe because the sport is based in Europe, most people who watch it are from Europe but I think (F1 figures […]

Todt: F1 must accept move to new markets

Jean Todt says he supports formula one's push out of Europe into new markets. Asked if the New York race endangers the Austin round, he is quoted by Auto Motor und Sport: "Not as far as I know. "We used to have three or four races in America, so we need two more. […]

Usually, perishables like meat, fruit and vegetables are bought locally, but for the Suzuka round Red Bull […]

De la Rosa: F1 must accept move away from Europe

Formula One needs to accept the steady move away from its traditional European homeland. That is the claim of Spanish test driver Pedro de la Rosa, whose employer McLaren is based in the UK close to seven other formula one teams. The other four teams are based elsewhere in Europe but, next year for example, no fewer than 12 of the 20 scheduled races will take place on other continents. De la Rosa wrote in his latest formulasantander.com column that F1 is moving with the […]
