Not heard much to indicate this inspection is out of the ordinary and things are pretty quiet, I think it's ok.

Fascinating interview with Max Mosley on Sky right now. Apparently Nelson Piquet Snr told Charlie Whiting (who he was close to as Whiting engineered him in the 80s) about Crashgate soon after it happened. Whiting told Mosley, but they couldn't do anything because of lack of evidence. Then came Piquet Jnr's statement in 09 after he got sacked, but they knew before that.

Also, Gutierrez fastest lap. Wonder how many drivers have got their first fastest lap before their first point before?

He also led a lap. That's one for the statisticians.

first thing Alonso said in post race with sky is how he appreciates the fans coming in a time of economical stress and hes happy that for one day he has made them smile.

Did the stewards do anything regarding the Cecotto incident?

I haven't seen anything. Haryanto has been given a 10 place drop for hitting Canamasas.

Same. It's disgraceful nothing's happened. They do nothing about that then investigate Alonso picking up a flag. What the f*** is wrong with them?

Watching the F1 Forum, Eddie Jordan reveals Christian Horner once tried to buy Jordan. Horner has no response, stands there awkwardly looking a bit embarrassed.

I think 4 stops is a bit too much, but this hysteria... some people's reactions are way OTT. It's almost like they hear a bit of criticism and get swept up in it and suddenly everyone's saying the same thing. Maybe it's just because we're in the third season of Pirelli now and people have short memories. I think back to Bahrain 2010 where the tyres lasted and people said it was the most boring thing ever. There was even a crisis meeting held! People want to go back to those sort of races? The 2-3 stop ones thrown up by Pirelli have been loads better. Everyone complaining should be forced to watch the 2010 Spanish Grand Prix.

I also thought back to Spain 2004 today. Trulli led Schumacher at the start, but Schumacher made no attempt to pass Trulli as he and Ferrari knew he'd get him at the pitstop by staying out a couple of laps later. A lot of people said that was dull too and they wanted drivers actually racing not waiting for pitstops, now we have people saying refuelling races were great and it should be brought back.

That is true. People need to realise it isn't black and white. Criticising Pirelli doesn't mean you want to return to Bridgestone's era. Just that it needs tweaking.

On another note, I've been really impressed by Force India. I thought they'd be not so great, but Sutil has had terrible luck yet they have 32 points. STR with 8 and Sauber on 5. Williams yet to score.

Unless the order really changes, it's going to be hard for Sauber or Williams to score more than a handful of points across the whole season.
