I don't want to see Perez taking the other Ferari seat tbh, other than Malaysia he didn't impress me much. I think his good results stem from the performance of the C31 more than anything else.

Splitting the race in half is rubbish ofc, the comeback of testing wouldn't be the worst thing though. The teams need to get the chance to properly evaluate and prepare (young) drivers for a race seat again. This would contradict the cost cutting though, which obviously has to be done as well. Oh well....

This video footage doesn't make good viewing. His hand doesn't look very good at all. In fact it almost looks like a prosthetic one!

If he can't straighten his right arm, how can he ever drive an F1 car again?

I don't think he'll ever come back. Would be nice to see him back in an F1 car driving in one day, but I don't think he'll ever be racing competitively again. Big shame as In 2007 and 2008 we were all labeling him and Vettel as future champions. No doubt Kubica would had been champion one day. Imagine him and Raikkonen in that Lotus now, what a team that would had been!

1972 Monaco GP winner Jean-Pierre Beltoise had nearly been killed in a freak sportscar accident in 1964. His left arm was considered unrecoverable and nearly amputated, but he requested that his elbow (shattered to bits) be blocked in a position that would allow him to hold a steering wheel and eventually drive again.

With that permanently blocked arm he still enjoyed a very solid F1 career, with a victory and eight podiums to his name between 1967 and 1974. There's an inspirational story if you needed one.

Looking good. If those scars are the worst of it, then I won't count against seeing him on the F1 grid in 2014. With the new regulations, everyone will be considerably unfamiliar with the cars, so he won't be as much on the back foot.
