There are rumours in the paddock that Porsche is considering a Formula One foray, according to Germany's Auto Motor und Sport. The VW-brand Porsche is returning to Le Mans, but the magazine said rumours are swirling that the project is merely "a warm-up" for F1. The German weekly Sport Bild is reporting that Volkswagen, the carmaker giant, is making plans to enter Formula One in 2015. Sauber team boss Peter Sauber confirmed recently that he met at the Geneva motor show with VW's chairman Martin Winterkorn. Despite the switch to V6 turbo power in 2014, Volkswagen is still not interested in formula one. The German giant's development boss Ulrich Hackenberg insists the sport is "too far away" from the world of normal road cars.
