Mercedes and Rosberg agree to contract extension

Mercedes GP confirmed that the team and Nico Rosberg have agreed a multi-year contract extension to include the 2013 season and beyond. Schumacher extends Mercedes deal for 2013

Michael Schumacher has extended his Mercedes deal for another season, the German weekly Sport Bild reports. The 42-year-old's existing contract was set to run only until the end of next season, but Sport Bild said the seven time world champion is now staying at least until the end of 2013. Nico Rosberg has rubbished suggestions he is close to switching to Ferrari. Daimler complete Mercedes buy out

The Mercedes GP Formula 1 team is now wholly owned by the car manufacturer's parent company Daimler AG and financial partner Aabar Investments PJS after the pair bought out the remaining stakeholders, which featured several key figures in the team.
