Bianchi, Marussia elated with maiden points

Jules Bianchi and Marussia expressed their elation after finally scoring their maiden points in Formula 1. Bianchi finished the race in eighth place but was demoted to ninth following a five second penalty - it was nonetheless his and the team's maiden points in the sport. Kobayashi unhappy with Bianchi pass

Kamui Kobayashi revealed his unhappiness with Marussia's Jules Bianchi following the Monaco Grand Prix. Kobayashi had enjoyed a strong race but was passed by Bianchi into La Rascasse, with the duo making minor contact. Bianchi gets Monaco grid drop

Jules Bianchi will start from 21st on the grid after picking up a penalty ahead of today's Monaco Grand Prix. Bianchi qualified in 19th but Marussia has been forced to change his gearbox, triggering a five place drop. Bianchi will begin the 78 lap encounter from 21st as Marcus Ericsson must start from the pit lane following his error in qualifying, when he crashed and took Felipe Massa with him.

Chilton reckons Marussia can catch Sauber

Max Chilton believes that Sauber is now within Marussia's sights following the Spanish Grand Prix. Chilton finished the race in 19th place, a few positions behind Sauber drivers Esteban Gutierrez and Adrian Sutil. Kamui Kobayashi expressed his frustration after a quirk in the Formula 1 regulations meant he dropped a position at the Chinese Grand Prix. Kobayashi had been involved in a race long duel with Marussia's Jules Bianchi, which was settled in favour of the Caterham driver when Kobayashi passed the Frenchman into the hairpin on the final lap. Adrian Sutil hit out at Marussia's Jules Bianchi after the pair clashed twice within the space of one lap at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Sutil and Bianchi made contact at turn four before the Marussia driver dived down the inside of his German rival into turn one.
