Renault putting 70 percent effort into 2014 engine

F1 engine supplier Renault is now devoting 70 percent of its efforts into the sport's new 6-cylinder turbo formula for 2014. This year's championship and the next are the last in which the cars will be powered by the current generation of normally-aspirated V8s. Alexander Rossi has today been confirmed as Caterham F1 Team’s Test Driver, joining Race Drivers Heikki Kovalainen and Vitaly Petrov, and Reserve Driver Giedo van der Garde in the Anglo / Malaysian team’s driver line-up. Bruno Senna has confirmed reports he has signed with Williams for a single season only. The former HRT and Renault driver, reportedly taking EUR 14 million in sponsorship to the famous Oxfordshire based team, is guaranteed the seat for 2012 only. Caterham to run aero test at IDIADA

After a tough week at Barcelona, Caterham have announced plans to run an aero test at the IDIADA Automotive Facility on Monday, which will be carried out by Finnish driver Heikki Kovalainen. Sauber's Kamui Kobayashi ended the second test in Barcelona atop the timing screens after a morning lap of 1:22.312 was fast enough to ensure his place above his rivals.
