Robin Frijns has parted company with Caterham after his contract with the outfit expired on Monday. Caterham reserve driver Robin Frijns will have his first outing for the team at the first test of the season next week. The Dutch driver will test the Caterham CT04 on Thursday at Jerez next week. Caterham will hand the first two days of running to rookie driver Marcus Ericsson. Formula 1 returnee Kamui Kobayashi will drive on the final day of the four day test.
The news that Marcus Ericsson will race in Formula 1 this season was treated with a sense of apathy. But the Swede should not be discounted as simply making up the numbers
