Budget cap to be introduced for 2015

The FIA has announced that a budget cap will be implemented from the start of the 2015 Formula 1 season. The F1 strategy group and F1 commission met in Paris on Monday where a move to limit the spending in the sport was made. 'The principle of a global cost cap has been adopted. Vettel officially crowned 2013 champion at FIA Gala

Sebastian Vettel and Red Bull Racing have been officially crowned as 2013 Formula 1 champions at the FIA Gala in Paris. Vettel and Red Bull received the drivers' and constructors' trophies for the fourth successive season at the event held at the Cité du Cinéma in the French capital. FIA confirms re-election of Jean Todt

Jean Todt has officially been elected as the president of the FIA following an official vote in Paris. Todt was elected president in 2009 and will continue to act as the head of the FIA for the next four years. Todt was unopposed after the withdrawal of the only other candidate, David Ward. "Thank you for so strongly endorsing our Team," Todt said. "We are both humbled and proud to have your trust to guide our great organisation for another four years."

Horner wants Pirelli to return to 2012 tyres

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner has suggested that Pirelli should revert to last year's tyres on safety grounds. Five drivers suffered tyre failures during the British Grand Prix, which was won by Nico Rosberg. Sebastian Vettel's first set of tyres suffered from cuts, leading to Red Bull deliberately raising the tyre pressures for his next stint. Mercedes: Test conducted by Pirelli

Mercedes's lawyer Paul Harris QC has responded to accusations that their test following the Spanish Grand Prix was in breach of the sporting regulations. At the International Tribunal in Paris, Harris - speaking on behalf of Mercedes - says the team cannot be punished as the test was conducted by Pirelli. "This was not a test undertaken by Mercedes. Ferrari president: We have faith in the FIA

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo says his team has faith in the FIA with regards to next week's International Tribunal. The FIA has confirmed that the International Tribunal hearing regarding Mercedes and Pirelli will be held on June 20th. The tribunal will begin at 09:30 on Thursday 20th June in Paris. 'Customer cars' discussed at F1's Paris meeting

Jean Todt had a "constructive meeting" with Bernie Ecclestone and the twelve team bosses in Paris on Monday, the FIA said in a media statement. The meeting, at which a "fruitful and helpful debate" ensued, was to present the teams with the 2013 Concorde Agreement and "new conditions of entry".
