Raikkonen skips Thursday for longer LA holiday

Kimi Raikkonen, undoubtedly F1's most laid back driver, reportedly skipped Thursday's proceedings at Interlagos. Normally, drivers attend media and sponsor functions, meet with their engineers and walk the circuit at grand prix venues on the day before the official practice action kicks off. Button heads FP2 for McLaren in Spain

McLaren’s Jenson Button has ended the second practice session at the Circuit de Catalunya fastest, ahead of reigning World Champion Sebastian Vettel and the Mercedes of Nico Rosberg. Alonso F1's shock leader at soggy Sepang

Fernando Alonso is F1's shock world championship leader, after Malaysian rain shook up the order at Sepang. "It's a tough time for us at the moment, but we will remember this day," said the Ferrari driver, who finished ahead of another surprise podium-sitter, Sauber's Sergio Perez. Hamilton remains fastest in Malaysia during FP2

As the Formula 1 cars returned to the track for practice 2 at Sepang, the threat of rain loomed over the track as stormy clouds bubbled up.
