Vettel takes pole in Austin

Sebastian Vettel has taken pole position for the United States Grand Prix. Vettel eclipsed Lewis Hamilton by one tenth of a second, ahead of Mark Webber. Romain Grosjean took fourth but will drop to ninth after a gearbox change. Kimi Raikkonen will therefore start from fourth place, ahead of Michael Schumacher, Felipe Massa and Nico Hulkenberg. HRT driver Pedro de la Rosa has insisted that he remains focused on the final two races of the 2012 season, amidst reports of the team struggling for finance. HRT searching for new owners after being put up for sale

HRT F1 Team is looking for new owners after Thesan Capital confirmed on Monday that the team is for sale. Thesan Capital took over from previous owner Jose Ramon Carabante in July 2011. HRT driver Pedro de La Rosa is hopeful that the team has solved the brake issues that have plagued them recently.
