The Finn, who has scored the fastest time of the whole test at Barcelona, is cautious in terms of making predictions ahead of the season opening race in Australia and suggests a more appropriate picture will be seen in China. “There’s a good feeling with this car and that’s the most important thing. Raikkonen critical over Verstappen's racing

Kimi Raikkonen probably had the pace for finishing the Belgian Grand Prix on the podium if it wasn't for the first corner clash which ruined both his car and race. The Ferrari driver finished ninth after an eventful race that saw him involved in a few battles with Red Bull's Max Verstappen. “After the start, at the first corner, Sebastian didn't see that there was another car on the inside: he expected me to turn but I couldn't, so I found myself stuck in the […]

Could Singapore have had a different winner?

This year’s Singapore Grand Prix was one of the most interesting races of the season from a strategy point of view. It showed that when the performance of the leading cars is closely matched, the strategy possibilities created by having three different tyre compounds make for unpredictable racing and close finishes. There was a great deal of variation in the decisions made before and during the Grand Prix and some big decisions to be analysed, which gained places for some and cost places for others. […]

Raikkonen reckons Ferrari struggles a one-off

Kimi Raikkonen is confident that Ferrari's difficult showing at the British Grand Prix is circuit-specific, rather than a deeper malaise with the SF16-H. Raikkonen qualified in fifth place and raced to the same position, albeit over a minute adrift of Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton, who claimed the squad's ninth victory of the campaign. With Red Bull finishing third and fourth courtesy of Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo, it means Ferrari holds a slender nine point advantage over its rivals in the scrap for second in the […]
