Interest in this week's opening test of the groundbreaking 2014 season is near-unprecedented. Marussia delays 2014 car debut

Marussia's 2014 car will not run on the first day of testing at Jerez. The team's brand new MR-03 encountered last minute technical issues as it was being prepared to depart the team's factory in Banbury. Lotus reveals picture of E22

Lotus has revealed a picture of their 2014 challenger, the E22. The car will be raced by Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado. The E22 will not be present at the first pre-season test at Jerez and will instead make its debut in Bahrain next month. Nonetheless, Lotus took to Twitter to reveal a computer-generated image of their car for 2014. Lotus's car reveal comes after Gerard Lopez replaced Eric Boullier as team principal.

Frijns gets Jerez test outing

Caterham reserve driver Robin Frijns will have his first outing for the team at the first test of the season next week. The Dutch driver will test the Caterham CT04 on Thursday at Jerez next week. Caterham will hand the first two days of running to rookie driver Marcus Ericsson. Formula 1 returnee Kamui Kobayashi will drive on the final day of the four day test.

Williams reveals pre-launch image of FW36

Williams has become the second team to release an image of their 2014 challenger. After Force India unveiled the VJM07 on Wednesday, Williams revealed a pre-launch rendering of the FW36. Lotus only team to miss Jerez test

Lotus has been left standing as the only team that will sit out the first test of the crucial 2014 pre-season next week. That is because Marussia on Wednesday announced that it will be at Jerez, despite some earlier uncertainty.
