Villeneuve thinks Raikkonen could win title

Jacques Villeneuve, the 1997 world champion turned TV pundit, thinks Lotus' Kimi Raikkonen would be a good bet for this year's championship. "I said before Australia that it would be Alonso and Hamilton for the title, now I think I would bet everything on the Spaniard and the Finn," he is quoted by France's Auto Hebdo. The Enstone based team, however, had a much less impressive weekend in Malaysia, just a few days after Raikkonen's Melbourne win. "It's true, we didn't have a good race […]

Grosjean 'did not learn' from 2012 mistakes says Villeneuve

Romain Grosjean, denounced by Mark Webber last year as the 'first lap nutcase', insists he has changed for the better ahead of the 2013 season. But 1997 world champion Jacques Villeneuve doesn't think so. "The only reason he has the chance of winning is because he has an incredible car," French Canadian Villeneuve, who has been signed up by F1's new French broadcaster Canal+ for 2013, said. "His only problem is that he does not learn from his mistakes," the former Williams and Sauber driver […]

Lotus yet to take Grosjean 'decision' for 2013

Gerard Lopez, the owner of the Lotus team, has played down rumours Romain Grosjean could be dropped. Before the Frenchman got involved in yet another incident this weekend - a high-speed qualifying clash with Pedro de la Rosa - whispers in the Interlagos paddock suggested Grosjean's future was less than secure. That's because of the 26-year-old's tumultuous 2012 season, and the fact his teammate Kimi Raikkonen's 2013 deal has already been announced. "It is not yet completed, there are ongoing discussions," said Lopez, the head […]
