Sergio Perez is sure that Force India will be able to challenge for the podium places during the Belgian Grand Prix. Perez qualified in fifth position at Spa Francorchamps but will be elevated to fourth on the grid following a penalty for Romain Grosjean. Force India hopeful of resuming running on Saturday

Force India is hopeful that it can resume running during third practice on Saturday morning following Sergio Perez's accident the opening session at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Perez suffered a right rear suspension failure as he went wide at Turn 11 and was pitched into the barriers on the inside of the circuit. Force India will not participate in the second practice session following Sergio Perez's large crash in the opening 90 minutes of running in Hungary, which cost the team an estimated €250,000 worth of damage. Force India drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez say that the squad has made immediate progress following the introduction of a B-spec car during practice for the British Grand Prix. The VJM08 used at Silverstone featured modified bodywork, the most striking being 'nostrils' carved into the nose section of the car. Ferrari, Force India fined for pit speeding

Ferrari and Force India have been fined for pit lane speeding after both Kimi Raikkonen and Sergio Perez were caught breaking the 80km/h limit during the first practice session for the British Grand Prix. Raikkonen was caught travelling at 82.5km/h, with Perez judged to have been doing 83.6km/h. Consequently, Ferrari has been fined €300, with Force India relieved of €400.
