Sutil had seat fitting in 2014 Sauber

After spending his entire career to date with Force India, Adrian Sutil on Wednesday began his next F1 chapter. Brawn to take six months off

Out-going Mercedes team principal Ross Brawn will take a six-month sabbatical before deciding whether to return to the sport, the Briton said on Friday. Perez supportive of double points

Force India driver Sergio Perez says he is in favour of the FIA's plans to introduce double points for the season finale from next season. The sport's governing body announced earlier this week that drivers will receive double points in Abu Dhabi next year. FIA confirms driver and power unit penalties for 2014

The FIA has confirmed driver and power unit penalties that can be awarded from the start of next season. Penalty points can be applied to a driver's Super Licence and they will remain with them for 12 months. 'In accordance with Article 16.3, the stewards may impose penalty points on a driver’s Super Licence', read the FIA's sporting regulations. 'If a driver accrues 12 penalty points his licence will be suspended for the following Event, following which 12 points will be removed from the licence. […]

Pole position trophy to be awarded from 2014

The FIA has confirmed that a pole position trophy will be awarded, beginning in 2014. The trophy will be handed out to the driver who sets the most pole positions each season. If there is a tie, the number of second places will be taken into account, followed by third places and so on, until a winner is confirmed. The FIA has opened up a selection process for a new team to join the grid, potentially as early as the start of the 2015 Formula 1 season. Applicants have until Friday 3rd January 2014 to register a formal expression of interest. Budget cap to be introduced for 2015

The FIA has announced that a budget cap will be implemented from the start of the 2015 Formula 1 season. Six teams to test in Bahrain next week

Six teams will head to Bahrain to carry out a tyre test next week.
