Gutierrez critical of Hamilton's gesture

Esteban Gutierrez says Lewis Hamilton showed a lack of respect after gesturing at the Mexican while he was lapped at the Hungarian Grand Prix. Hamilton encountered the Haas driver during the closing stages of the race and he was caught by Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg, though ultimately pulled clear once more. Rosberg stays on top as Verstappen closes

Championship leader Nico Rosberg clocked the quickest time for Mercedes during the final practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix, narrowly edging out Red Bull’s Max Verstappen. Rosberg improved on his initial benchmark to clock a lap of 1:20.261, which put him almost half a second clear of the chasing pack. Daniel Ricciardo reckons Red Bull's pace during practice at the Hungarian Grand Prix is genuine as he placed second to Mercedes' Nico Rosberg, albeit over half a second down on the German. Rosberg quickest as Hamilton crashes

Nico Rosberg moved to the front of the time sheets during the second practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix as Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton crashed out. Rosberg and Hamilton were separated by just 0.001s in the Briton’s favour on the Soft tyres when he clipped the entry kerb on the outside of Turn 11 and spun into the barriers. Lewis Hamilton led the way for Mercedes as the team dominated the standings during the opening session for the Hungarian Grand Prix. Following a damp opening 20 minutes, following overnight rain, Hamilton moved to the front with a time of 1:21.347 on the Super Soft tyres. Rosberg pens two-year Mercedes extension

Mercedes has confirmed that Nico Rosberg will remain with the team until at least the end of 2018 after signing a contract extension. Rosberg joined Mercedes at the start of 2010 and has finished as runner-up in the championship to Lewis Hamilton in both 2014 and 2015. Manor has announced the appointment of Thomas Mayer as its new Chief Executive Officer, with his role set to be assumed from the start of August. Steiner: Q3 for Haas is 'achievable'

Haas team principal Guenther Steiner believes reaching Q3 is an achievable goal for the squad this year, despite the "brutal" nature of Formula 1's midfield.
