Drivers to trial 2014 tyres in Brazil practice

Formula 1 drivers will have the opportunity to test the latest specification prototype tyres during free practice in Brazil this week. Each car will be allocated two sets of tyres to be used in the first two practice sessions on Friday at the Interlagos circuit. The tyres will feature the 2014 construction and profile, with the 2014 medium compound. Sebastian Vettel set the fastest time during second practice for the United States Grand Prix in Austin. Vettel's time of 1:37.305 was just over a tenth of a second faster than Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber as the reigning champions finished over three tenths of a second clear than their nearest rivals. Davide Valsecchi says he is angry at Lotus's decision to overlook him for the vacant seat for the final two round of 2013.
