Caterham confirms sale of team

Caterham has confirmed that Tony Fernandes and his partners have sold the team to a consortium of Swiss and Middle Eastern investors, advised by former Formula 1 team principal Colin Kolles. Fernandes formed Lotus Racing - which morphed into Caterham - at the start of 2010 but has now departed the set-up, along with team principal Cyril Abiteboul. Kolles not surprised Ricciardo beating Vettel

Red Bull team figures like Christian Horner, Dietrich Mateschitz and Helmet Marko have all said they were "surprised" by Daniel Ricciardo's pace so far in 2014. Formula 1 set for two new teams in 2015

There could be two new Formula 1 teams in 2015, according to Bernie Ecclestone. The FIA opened up applications at the end of 2013 and while the original February 28 announcement passed without any further news, Ecclestone reckons two new outfits will join the grid next season.
