Vandoorne confirmed as McLaren reserve driver

Stoffel Vandoorne has been appointed as McLaren's reserve driver for 2014. The Belgian will also race in GP2 for ART after the French team confirmed a partnership agreement with McLaren and its 2015 F1 engine suppliers Honda. Pic joins Campos for GP2 season

Arthur Pic will make his GP2 debut this year for series returnees Campos Racing. Pic, younger brother of F1 racer Charles, has spent three seasons in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series and finished in eighth place last year. Pic tested for ART in Abu Dhabi at the end of 2013 but will race for Campos. Ferrari and McLaren proteges to participate in GP2 tests

Ferrari protege Raffaele Marciello will participate in this week's end of season GP2 tests at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi. Marciello, who won the Formula Three European Championship this year, will test for Racing Engineering and Trident. Leimer, Bird set up Abu Dhabi showdown

Fabio Leimer and Sam Bird will head to November's GP2 final event in Abu Dhabi separated by just seven points in the championship. Leimer finished in fifth place in the feature race and followed it up with third place in the sprint race. Calado thrilled by Force India practice outing

James Calado says that his first run in a Formula 1 car during a Grand Prix weekend was 'amazing'. Calado, currently fifth in this season's GP2 championship, joined Force India as their reserve driver earlier in the week. Calado drove for the team at the young driver test in July but made his practice debut during the opening 90 minute session in Monza. British drivers shared the success across the GP2 races at Spa-Francorchamps. Sam Bird claimed his fourth win of the year for Russian Time during the feature race while James Calado ended his win drought by controlling the sprint race. Bird utterly dominated the feature race from pole position, finishing seven seconds clear of Marcus Ericsson. Lancaster claims maiden GP2 win

British driver Jon Lancaster claimed his maiden GP2 victory after dominating the Sprint race on Sunday. Julian Leal made a slow getaway from pole position and it was fourth placed Lancaster who rocketed into the lead at Abbey. Calado signs for Todt's management group

British GP2 driver James Calado has joined Nicolas Todt's All Road Management group. Calado, 23, is currently racing for ART Grand Prix for a second year in GP2.
