Nico Rosberg topped second practice in Brazil after a day of wet weather at Interlagos.

Rosberg's time of 1:27.306 was two tenths of a second faster than world champion Sebastian Vettel.

Most times were set during the final moments of the session as drivers sought to preserve wet tyres, with further challenging conditions expected across the remainder of the weekend.

The wet weather also meant that teams were unable to trial Pirelli's 2014 development tyres, which the Italian company had specifically taken to Brazil.

Mark Webber was third fastest ahead of his final race in the sport, while Lotus substitute Heikki Kovalainen was fourth quickest.

Lewis Hamilton, who was second in the opening practice session, was fifth after a spin in his Mercedes.

Jean-Eric Vergne was sixth fastest, ahead of Felipe Massa and Nico Hulkenberg.

Daniel Ricciardo and Romain Grosjean rounded out the top 10.
