The investigation into Michael Schumacher's skiing accident has found no evidence of wrongdoing.

Schumacher fell while skiing off-piste at the French resort of Meribel on December 29th last year.

'The investigation into the causes and consequences of the December 29 skiing accident of Michael Schumacher ... has been closed on February 12', said a statement released by Patrick Quincy, who was in charge of the investigation.

'No person has been found guilty of any violation.'

The investigation also discovered that the rock which caused Schumacher to fall was 34 feet away from the rock on which he hit his head.

He remains in hospital in Grenoble.

It was announced in late January that doctors were beginning the waking up process. No official updates regarding his conditions have been released in the three weeks since then.
