Robin Frijns will participate in the first practice session for Caterham at this weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix.
It will be his first outing during a Grand Prix weekend, where he will drive Kamui Kobayashi's car.
Frijns joined the team at the start of the year and has already sampled the Caterham CT05 during pre-season testing in Spain and Bahrain.
"I’m excited about being back in the car for my first FP1 of the 2014 season with Caterham, especially as I already have experience of the car at Bahrain from the day I did in the pre-season tests," he said.
"It’ll be interesting to see how much progress we’ve made across the whole car since I last drove it, but my focus will be on helping the team prepare for the race weekend, something I know I can add value to, assuming we have a problem-free session!"
The Dutch racer will also receive track time during the post-race test at the circuit next week.
Frijns, who tested for Sauber in 2013 alongside a bit-part GP2 campaign, is focusing solely on his Formula 1 duties with Caterham this season.
