I think Autosport i scooping a little here. the interwiever tried his all to get Mark to say something in the direction that he wanted the team to prioritize him and by hes answer it didnt sound as he was asking for it before he deserved it ie before vettel hasn't a change for the title.

I agree that the Autosport's headline and their (not mine) sentence "Webber himself admitted after the Spa race that the time was close for Red Bull Racing to start concentrating more on his own title ambitions." is a bit misleading. But he clearly hinted that he wants it to happen sooner rather than later (bofore Sebastian is mathematicaly out of the championship?). From someone who was such a strong supporter of equality, in Silverstone, I find it strange.

another thing about mark winning i think it would be good to get a older winner again. I mean to show that this sport is not only for youngsters 20+ ...

Agree. When the driver is after 30, he doesn't have a bad season, he is just to old. If Vettel would be after 30 and did some of the mistakes he is doing now, the talk about his retirement would already started.

You said it, "Massa hadn't any mathematical chance for the title", big difference.
And that "he even gave away a victory to him", Kimi overtake him in the pits. I once looked the lap times and if I remember correctly Massa was puting his best laps before the pitstop. Why, if he decided to let him pass? Kimi set record lap times and overtook him. I think Massa wasn't planning on letting him pass in the pitstops, I think he wanted to let him pass on the racetrack. (I can't find the laptimes now so I may be wrong)

well ... in the post race press conference there was a question like that .... he was asked about thos really fast laps before the pit stops to get in front , but Kimi answered more like , "yeah, but as a team we worked according to a plan "

but i'd still say that race is not one that was a sure shot win for Massa ... Kimi could have even got first at the very first lap , instead he chose to lift middle of the corner (cheeky) ( i suppose to give hamilton a tough time )

Maybe Massa was faster that day, maybe not. But I think that Massa didn't plan to let him pass in the pitstops. Why risk it with those fast laps then? I have no proof so I may be wrong.

actually he risked for a fastest lap towards the end of the race too ... he kindW got out of shape at the last corner once .

it's just that for that race there was no competition whatsoever between them . So difficult to compare them .
I think even though Massa tried Kimi still held the fastest lap of the race .

Still hot as a furnace here...today it hit 38C. Weather people have promised cooler temperatures ( 30C ) and some rain, but haven't seen it yet...Beaches near the city are still full, shorts and t-shirts all over

We were there at the end of August start of September and it was great. Hot during the day and perfect during the night.
