first when this website was launched the media doubted that it will be a success,they said that it did not add anything new to the social websites that already exist (like facebook,hi5),but now and during the Iranian elections this websites has proved to be very valuable,for a very important reason to make a status update you dont have to be online or using the internet you can do this from your mobile phone or through other related websites which make it hard to be brought down
