My favourite song by one of my favourite singer songwriters, 'Learning to Fly' by Tom Petty, just awesome

I'm listening to Australia vs England, 2nd One-Day International cricket on ABC Radio at the moment.
Re: what are you listening to?
Our new guy TomTom says he likes some US/Canadian rock - cool!! (hey, don't forget all that great British rock too!!!)
Here's 3 great acts and tracks that I really love, 3 of my top 10 bands ever, one Canadian band (the amazing Rush) one USA (R.E.M.) and maybe my favourite UK band (Radiohead)...
'Leaving New York' by R.E.M.
'Faithless' by Rush
'Jigsaw Falling Into Place' by Radiohead
Hey, the Radiohead is great driving music!! One of my favourite tracks for driving along FAST with the windows open and the car stereo loud!!!

Glastonbury - Favourite Festivals - Great Live Bands
OK music lovers! I don't know if we have any other festival goers on here, but when the summer arrives I love to try and attend a festival most years, there are some amazing rock/pop festivals in the UK, the best of them being Glastonbury, but also Leeds and Reading, the V Festival, Isle of Wight, and Download (which is at Donnington, the race circuit!) I have been to Glastonbury 9 times!! and maybe 6 or 7 others at these other places.
There's lots of great live stuff from these festivals on YouTube, so I thought it maybe fun to look at some of them, so if there's any great festival bands you want the rest of us to see from your area/country, let's seem them!
Here's a few of my favourites to start with from shows that I attended, I'm obviously not to be seen anywhere, though I am in the crowd there somewhere!!
Fun Lovin Criminals - Scooby Snacks (Glastonbury 2000)
The Verve - Love is Noise (Glastonbury 2007)
Oasis - Cigarettes and Alcohol (V Festival 2006)
Faithless - We Come 1 (Glastonbury 2006)

Re: what are you listening to?
Just try to revive this thread a bit! I just downloaded the new Radiohead album, not quite sure what to make of it yet, I generally love them on first hearing, this may take longer, here's a track anyway, only Thom Yorke could make a bowler hat look so cool!

Re: What is your favorite movie?
Lots of favourite movies, too many to name, my best three would probably be the Lord of the Rings trilogy (though there were 3 of them I know), Apollo 13 with Tom Hanks, and Silence of the Lambs

Re: What's your favourite TV programme?
I don't get time to watch a lot of TV in the evenings having a family with two sons age 7 and 10, and I work weird hours, so I usually wait for my favourite TV series to come out on DVD and then buy the whole series so I can watch them at my leisure.
Favourites from the past few years would be CSI (Las Vegas) CSI Miami, CSI New York, Law and Order, Law and Order SVU, Law and Order Criminal Minds, Prison Break, '24', Desperate Housewives, The X Files, The West Wing, Lost, Criminal Minds, Without a Trace, Homicide Life on the Streets, Boomtown, The Tudors, Band of Brothers, Rome, and The Wire. There's a lot there, but it's all good. I think best of all were Prison Break, 24, The West Wing and Criminal Minds.
