Bottas is an unknown to everyone other than a Williams employee. Yes he's shown himself to be competant at F3 and other junior series levels, but he's had no senior level training. Williams have taken a huge risk in running these two drivers. At least in 2012 Senna was somewhat of a better known quantity, having raced at GP2 level and a couple of part seasons in F1.
I agree with you Ether, in that Williams doesn't seem to have no good direction towards 2013 and onwards. But I want to be wrong.
