F1 Quiz II
F1 Quiz II
Seeing as the old one kind of died and it's been a while, lets start this again. Whoever answers the question correctly gets to ask the next question, anything F1 related, from the drivers to cars to tracks, whatever, as long as it is to do with F1 and not other motorsport.
Okay, I'll start us off:
Q: When was the first time that rookie drivers claimed 1st and 2nd in a Grand Prix. Who were they? And in which Grand Prix?
(NOT Silverstone 1950, because everyone was a rookie then)
So, I'm looking for:
1st:
2nd:
Track:
Year:

Re: F1 Quiz II
Okay, except for that
I didn't mean that, should have made myself clear on that one. There is only one other race. Get that one

Re: F1 Quiz II
I would have thought you didn't mean the inaugural race :P just thought I'd put it up anyways

Re: F1 Quiz II
Don't be too hard on yourself, do you define rookie as their first race or races in their first season, cos I could be cheeky and go for Monaco 1950 GP :P

Re: F1 Quiz II
then it's impossible. there were only 3 drivers (including Parsons) who won in their first ever race, Giancarlo Baghetti (1961 Reims) followed by Dan Gurney (debuted in 59), and Farina followed by Fangio at GB 1950.phil1993 wrote:No

In their first year, not their first race. Not when Indy counted for the F1 either

Re: F1 Quiz II
Is Jackie Stewart one of these drivers ?
