Apparently RBR changed the flow meter after quali. So its tough. Clearly gained a small advantage through more fuel flow but negligent in the bigger picture I presume.

They surely could engine map adjust? I read Vettels problems were caused by lack of fuel thanks to renau trying to get under the flow limit

Sounds so little like Formula 1 racing and more like some silly computer game. I will try to watch the races but the excitement and innovation are gone for me.

The race was definitely a disappointment. Yea, the Q session raised the expectations, but the race was dull beyond belief.

The sound is gone... now we have screeching tires vs screaming engines. I dont mind the sound much. Dont really like it, but it's far from a priority.

The nosecones... WTF.
The low ones are dangerous and may be banned... the others are hideous, and should have not been allowed. They look amateur at best.

The racing.... dull. Boring. Uneventful. I would sacrifice anything of the above had there been actual excitement... but there was just nothing happening. For what it's worth...... they can take 40 laps away from the race and it would make little difference.

F1 is in for a TOUGH season.

While I agree with everything you said F1EA, it is the change in philosophy which appears to want to force cars meant to go fast to instead spend as much time on the race course coasting or braking. Completely backwards.
As it stands they should award 50 points to every driver just for finishing.

It's just one race. Remember how quick people were to dismiss F1 after Bahrain 2010? Then Melbourne happened and kicked off an amazing season.

As for judging the new regs, it's early days and the teams were always going to take a conservative approach in the first few races. All the classified finishers are glad to have made it to the end, and so they should be. I think aggressive racing will have to wait until reliability increases substantially - as it stands, Mercedes has the edge and you can be sure that team orders will get in the way of any cut-throat racing between Lewis and Nico, if only because even they can't bet on crossing the finish line with two cars everytime. There is no guarantee that we will not see both Mercedes cars break down next time, in which case the fight for victory could be well open between three or four teams.

I want to say well done F1 for seeing through the massive changes that happened over the winter and resuming business (almost) as usual. I don't care about the noise volume, my only experience with that was finding the FR3.5 way too loud at a race and not enjoying the experience. I care about the noses looking like dicks and I hope that will be addressed. I also like that F1 dares to be at the cutting edge of technology in other ways than aerodynamics. I like that unreliability has become a factor again, but not to the point that blowing up an engine would be such a high penalty for the whole season. So a mixed bag overall, but I'm willing to give it some time!
